Smoke breaks often fill short gaps in everyday life: a moment's pause, a transition, a short escape. If these gaps remain empty, quitting smoking quickly feels more strenuous than necessary.

A break doesn't need smoke, but something that really gives you something.

Why real breaks need more

Smoking was often not just nicotine, but structure: out for a moment, switching off for a moment, something for yourself for a moment.

If you keep this structure but refill it, the break remains - just without the cigarette. What is important is not the renunciation, but the new quality of these moments.

This is how you create a new break

Consciously replace the smoke break with a short, real break with meaning:

- a short song that brings you down or activates you - a message to someone important to you - a conscious moment for planning or thought - a short walk into the fresh air without a cigarette

What's important is not the activity itself, but that it feels like you - not like a replacement.

This turns an empty smoke break into a break with content.
